    Cherub believes in supporting her clients in a compassionate, empathic and non-judgmental way in their journey of overcoming various life challenges. She aims at creating a strong therapeutic alliance with the client by providing them with a safe and comforting environment where they can feel accepted, supported and understood. She is motivated to help clients in their path of self-discovery, self-acceptance.

    Cherub values and recognizes that each client is unique. Therefore she works hard towards understanding each client’s experiences from their perspective and finding tools and strategies that align with each client’s unique needs. She works collaboratively with the clients and finds it fulfilling to see them move forward and progress in the direction of the positive changes they set out to achieve. She takes a person-centered and integrative approach, primarily drawing upon attachment-based theories, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness and also uses aspects of Positive Psychology and Cross-Cultural Psychology in her work.

    Cherub is affirming of all cultures, religions, gender identities and sexual orientations. She can provide effective counselling to culturally diverse clients. In addition to English, she is also fluent in Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu languages and has a deep understanding of the culturally significant aspects of the South-Asian communities including their value and belief system, worldview, perceptions, emotions, thoughts and behaviours.

    Cherub strongly believes that the client-therapist relationship is of utmost importance for having desired therapeutic outcomes. Therefore, to ensure that she is a good fit for you, she offers free 20-minute  video or over-the-phone consultations. She also has a variety of daytime and evening appointment times to ensure availability and accessibility for her clients.
