Keegan believes that helpful and successful therapy begins with you and your goals. He believes strongly in the process of collaboration, and will seek to work with you to find the approach that fits best for your life.
Clients have appreciated his empathetic approach, something they feel has helped them to feel welcomed and seen. They enjoy his ability to balance empathetic listening with the occasional spice of humour, a style that helps them feel heard. Further, they have felt supported throughout their journey to live a happier and healthier life.
His storied history working as a mental health practitioner, a journey beginning with his work with adolescents experiencing addiction and mental health concerns, has taught him that treatment success requires a safe and supportive environment where you can share things you have rarely felt comfortable to discuss before. Keegan’s successful career, spanning over half a decade, has seen him work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families, and supported folks experiencing a range of concerns, from depression and anxiety to addiction and more.
Keegan believes in the power of narratives in our lives, and how they shape the way we perceive and act on the things that happen around us. Our lives can be imagined as an interwoven series of threads, with each thread representing an experience or interaction we have had. The way we understand our lives, and our current situation, is a product of how we understand these threads both individually, and as an interactive whole. In therapy, we will elevate and explore each thread and come to understand whether you are empowered, or disempowered, by them.
He offers a free 20-minutes phone or video consultation, to support you in finding the most suitable fit as you embark on your therapy journey.
