Sadiya recognizes that the path to healing requires compassion and empathy, and strives to create a safe environment for clients of all backgrounds. She keeps personal growth and liberation at the forefront of her work with clients and recognizes that a strong therapeutic relationship is foundational to healing.
Sadiya is aware that each individual is unique and comes with unique experiences that are shaped by many different facets of life. As such, she takes an integrative, person-centered approach while using a biopsychosocial framework to ensure that clients are provided with a holistic standard of care that best fits their needs. Sadiya draws primarily from aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), diathesis-stress models, and neurosciences when working with clients. She has experience working with diverse populations and various mental health conditions. She provides psychoeducation throughout sessions so that clients can become more empowered to take control of their own mental health.
Sadiya is flexible with appointments and is particularly open for early mornings, daytimes, and afternoons. She is comfortable with in-person appointments while also being trained on telehealth and is comfortable providing virtual therapy.
Sadiya is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
