Bridgette sees every client as an expert in themselves. She believes in meeting clients where they are and uses a variety of approaches to meet each client’s individual needs. Bridgette works alongside the client to help them attain better mental health while achieving their goals. She is passionate about helping clients live a happy and healthy life. Why choose her? Clients say she is laid back, non-judgemental, empathetic, yet firm. Therapy does not have to be stoic; it is okay to share a laugh or two. Bridgette is her genuine self in the hopes you will feel comfortable being yourself.

With more than 15 years experience working in the mental health sector, Bridgette has served a diverse clientele. She draws on various modalities to foster change, such as: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Bilateral Stimulation (from EMDR), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Attachment Based to name a few. Initially she worked with children and teens with special needs in various capacities as a frontline staff. Working at a few different non-profit organizations in Calgary with children, teens, and adults her passion for psychology and mental health grew. She has worked as a member of a multidisciplinary team in a health clinic where she saw the complex ways in which our physical and mental health are intertwined.

Before coming to the Calgary Institute of Counselling, Bridgette worked at a private clinic in Calgary where she grew to feel privileged to be able to do the work she does with clients. Client progress is such a powerful thing; it motivates her to continue to practice what she preaches in sessions and work toward living her own best life. The relationship between client and therapist is of the utmost importance, so Bridgette offers a free 20-minute consultation. This provides the opportunity for you to ask any questions and ensure Bridgette is a good fit for you. Consultations are offered over the phone, or online. Bridgette works with adolescents (16-18) and adults for individual or couples counselling.
