Alisha offers a compassionate and client-centred approach to therapy. As a trauma therapist, she has many years of experience creating a safe and non judgmental space for clients to navigate the complexities of trauma and foster a sense of resiliency, coping, and growth. She believes in empowering clients to explore the narratives that may be constraining them, and facilitate a process to break free from patterns and behaviours that are no longer serving them. Since trauma is rarely unaccompanied, Alisha gently explores client’s concerns to build rapport and an appropriate treatment plan. She utilizes the “one size does not fit all” approach to therapy and draws from a variety of evidence based therapeutic modalities.
Alisha has experience with clients struggling with Workers Compensation (WCB), motor vehicle accidents (MVA), and Veteran’s Affairs (VA).
Alisha holds a Bachelor of Science from University of Toronto, and a Master’s of Psychology from Adler Graduate Professional School. She offers support to residents of Ontario and Alberta. She works with adults for individual or couples counselling. Therapy sessions are typically 1 hour (50-minutes), 1.5 hours (80-minutes) for EMDR. Alisha offers sessions in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
In her spare time, Alisha enjoys crocheting, dancing, playing video games, and spending time with her family and friends.
To ensure that Alisha is the right fit for you, she offers 20-minute phone consultations.
