Giusi is a Psychologist (Provisional) with international clinical experience and a strong commitment to supporting individuals across the lifespan in their journey toward growth and well-being. Originally from Italy, she moved to Canada in 2020 and brings with her a solid clinical background developed as a psychologist in Italy since 2017, where she worked with adults, adolescents, and children in a variety of therapeutic settings.

In Canada, Giusi has worked both in a centre for children on the autism spectrum and in a treatment centre for women with substance use. These experiences have strengthened her ability to work with complex emotional, behavioural, and relational challenges. Her therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-based interventions, with the goal of helping clients develop greater self-awareness, psychological flexibility, and a more compassionate relationship with themselves.

Ongoing professional development is a core value for Giusi. She strongly believes that there is no final destination when working with people’s lives, but rather a continuous process of learning, reflection, and personal growth. In her clinical work, she frequently uses Steven Hayes’ mountain metaphor. Like her clients, Giusi is also engaged in her own personal journey. From her perspective, she supports individuals in identifying alternative paths, recognizing obstacles along the way, and moving forward with greater clarity and intention.

Giusi strives to create a therapeutic space that is safe, warm, and non-judgmental, where clients feel supported in exploring both challenges and strengths. Her work is collaborative and relational, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and the co-creation of clear, meaningful therapeutic goals.

Outside of her professional role, Giusi is a dynamic and curious individual. She practices Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism, which informs her outlook on life and personal responsibility. She shares her life with two wonderful Goldendoodles, who bring daily joy, and with her husband, with whom she shares several passions, including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. She also enjoys cooking—especially Italian cuisine—and travelling, maintaining strong connections with her family in Italy, whom she visits regularly.

Giusi offers therapy with professionalism, warmth, and dedication, supporting clients as they build effective coping strategies to navigate anxiety, stress, life transitions, and relational difficulties, and as they work toward lasting personal change.

Giusi is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
