Sam Orr
Sam brings a warm, calming, and nonjudgmental approach to her practice. She makes relationship building and understanding the client, their goals, and their challenges her top priorities. She is passionate about implementing psychoeducational, attention, giftedness, and social-emotional assessments with children and adults because she believes that for many, it can be the first step to increased understanding and empowerment, and can open doors to resources. She makes sure families have a good understanding of the potential next steps in this journey as well. Sam also engages in behavioural consultations and counselling with children and families dealing with emotion regulation challenges, difficulties with ADHD management, and related concerns. She brings over 6 years of experience working with neurodiverse clients, as well as a background in behavioural interventions, trauma-informed practice, assessment, and ADHD management. In her practice, she implements principles of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Behaviour Therapy, and mindfulness.
