Victoria uses an eclectic approach that is tailored to each person’s unique goals and preferences. She has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and holistic/somatic therapy, modalities that are wonderfully complementary and work together to build strength and resilience at the same time as happiness and connection to the here and now.

She believes that part of mental health is a set of skills that anyone can learn. She makes sure that her clients know what to do when they experience unhelpful thoughts, challenging emotions, or find themselves stuck in patterns that don’t serve them. She also works with clients to foster thriving relationships, address core beliefs that are holding them back, orient to their values, and connect to a deeper sense of meaning and purpose.

Victoria works to help a client become their own greatest ally, learn what a life worth living truly means to them, and move towards it in manageable steps.

Clients working with Victoria are often surprised to find that dealing with challenges through therapy can be fun and engaging. While it is no doubt hard work, most reflect that their appointment is a highlight in their week, and that the work they are doing is much easier than having to struggle with it alone.

Victoria has a background in physical health from a previous career as a Registered Massage Therapist, which she draws from regularly in order to provide more comprehensive support to her clients. Her time as an RMT, clinical counsellor, and registered psychologist amounts to 16 wonderful years of creating safe spaces, facilitating healing, and working hard alongside clients of all types to achieve their goals.

Kelsey is a compassionate counsellor dedicated to guiding individuals on their journey toward healing and self-discovery.

She believes that our feelings are always giving us information, but sometimes it is hard to listen to them and know what to do with that information. In our fast-paced world, it is easy to ignore those emotions and tensions we feel in our bodies. Ignoring those feelings, however, can hold us back from living the lives we want. Using both a trauma-informed and nature-informed lens, Kelsey can help you connect to and unpack those feelings, to help you live more consciously.

Understanding the profound impact of personal experiences and worldviews, Kelsey collaborates with clients to explore their unique identities. Through a collaborative process, she delves into how past experiences have shaped individuals and works towards defining what they envision for their lives.

Kelsey will meet clients where they are at and provide warm and non-judgemental support. She believes the most important part of counseling is the therapeutic relationship, and that you feel safe and comfortable.

Kelsey uses emotionally focused individual therapy and Adlerian psychology as well as elements of cognitive-behavioural therapy, somatic processing, and solution-focused brief therapy to help facilitate clients’ deep healing and provide clients with concrete tools for meaningful change. Kelsey draws primarily from emotionally focused therapy because she believes many people hold onto emotions and trauma from childhood and that processing and expressing these emotions can help to move on and live more consciously.

Kelsey offers a free 20-minute phone or video consultation, to ensure she is a good fit to support you on your journey.

Walking alone in our most challenging times can be a scary and overwhelming experience. As a therapist, Rachel’s priority is to provide a safe and open space to process the challenging experiences of life and better understand our emotional responses. With education and life experience, Rachel aims to help guide clients through the life circumstances and traumas impacting one’s thoughts, feelings, and relationship dynamics. In entering the counselling space, Rachel hopes for each individual to feel the relief in knowing that you are not alone in your journey, gaining the tools and strategies to better manage life when it is the most difficult. Rachel does this through the evidence based practice of Emotion Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Additionally, Rachel provides EMDR therapy for trauma related processing.

A session with Rachel may involve exploring childhood/family history, current attachment/relationship dynamics, discovering restricting thought patterns, exploring relationships to various emotions, and practicing mindfulness activities for emotion regulation. Having the opportunity to do meaningful work has always been a motivating element for Natalie. As a trauma-informed counsellor, Natalie guides clients in a direction of understanding and compassion through a process of reconfiguration of the self, helping clients discover core values and explore new ways to connect with life and relationships after trauma.

Natalie’s approach to counselling involves considering the many factors that contribute to a person’s well-being. This includes exploring where thoughts, emotions, and behaviours come from, and examining social conditions and cultural factors that play a major role in health and disease.

Natalie has been trained in the field of complex trauma and has experience working with a diverse range of clients. Natalie believes in taking a holistic biopsychosocial approach to counselling and incorporates psychodynamic elements into her practice.

Natalie believes trust and relational safety are two key components of creating a therapeutic alliance. Natalie carefully curates the therapeutic setting by creating and establishing relational safety and being empathic and sensitive towards the client’s needs, giving the support to assist clients in creating a more joyful and fulfilling life.

Her therapeutic philosophy is aligned with the Rogerian approach to humanistic counselling, in that the positive conditions of the therapeutic relationship will be the most important in establishing a working foundation with the client to target the issues and concerns they have and want to work on. Natalie believes therapy is a collaborative experience and empowers her clients to dive deeper into varying aspects of themselves.

Natalie works with helping clients attune to their own relational needs, how to begin to set effective boundaries with others, how to prioritize the self, navigate difficult relational situations, increase self-esteem, while integrating self-compassion and self-care into daily life.

Natalie also has training in emotion-focused therapy, ego-state therapy, and ART.

Natalie is registered as a Registered Provisional Psychologist, with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
